Believe it or not, there are reputable credit repair companies out there. I used one that really helped me improve my credit score and my life. The average consumer has no idea what rights they have or how to dispute negative items on their credit reports. The credit repair company I used where experts and explained everything to me step by step. They didn't charge me any set up fees and gave me personalized service. Do your homework and ask a lot of questions like I did. Make sure you feel comfortable and get a LIVE person to speak with and not a telemarketer like other credit repair companies have. The credit repair company I used had live representatives and really listened to what I had to say and really cared. The website is:.

It depends. There are so many and some of the credit repair agency are BBB registered organization and they really help. But before you go for a choice you have to check whether they are giving false hope , you have to judge wisely and then move. But before going to any of them first of all see if they are registered organization or not.
Best of luck.

Waste of money and will probably leave you in worse shape than you were before you visited them.

They are a waste of money. The only things you can get removed are things that are factually incorrect. And you can do that yourself.

It might help but the information on how to do this can be found free on the internet. Credit repair focuses on challenging information on your credit report. If the credit reporting agency can't confirm the information in 30 days it is removed. Most credit agencies can't respond in 30 days so a lot of info can be removed.

However, they simply put it back on within 30 days and you'd have to challenge it again. A few credit entries may not get put back on but the vast majority do.

If you do credit repair on your own for free, it's not a bad idea. If you are paying someone for credit repair, it's a rip-off.

Waste of money. They can't get legitimate items removed, only items that shouldn't be there in the first place, and you can do that yourself.
