Experian receiving date wrong?
|
ecusweetheart wants to know:
I sent a dispute letter certified mail 4-15-09 and when I received the green card back in the mail they had stamped it March 18 2008. What do I do about the 30 day validity since they stamped receiving it wrong???

I would go back to the post office that you sent it through and take your green card and your receipt (if you have it) back to them. Show them the postal “sent” date as well as the “received” and tell them that there’s obviously no way that that is possible and they can go back into their computer system and see exactly when something was received and get an ammendment to it.
I hope that this helps.
Hmmm….makes me wonder if Experian deliberately has their stamp for receipt of certified mail messed up. It is a nightmare trying to get anything corrected by the credit reporting agencies.
