At what age does credit start counting?

I just turned 18 today, but a couple of days ago I asked for a credit report from Experian, Well it says that my credit started before I turned 18 and the dates look like I was about 15 or 16. It says I have a potentially negative item. I don’t remember this, but doesn’t your credit start counting at the age of 18? Isn’t it a law or something because you have to be 18 everywhere to buy anything.

it starts as soon as you get any credit, it doesn’t matter how old you are.
I heard of a 7 year old boy having credit … and getting his identity stolen and used without him knowing. So it doesnt matter how old you are.

It starts when you get credit for something.
I would get a copy of your credit reports and see what it is that is on there that is negative.
Hopefully no one in your family has borrowed your info to get a loan/credit card/utilities etc and then defaulted giving YOU the hit, or some stranger stole your identity.
i read a copy of my credit report, & i’d been on record w/ 1 bureau since childhood. i’m wondern if my id was used by my abusive parents w/o my knowledge???
