cuttie.bunny95 wants to know:

This is an extra credit question for a math quiz and every time I try to do it I always get a different answer….
I’m doing systems of equations and right now we’re working on how to solve problems using elimination. I get how to do it but I just don’t get how to do it when the x and y are in fractions….
Here are the two equations:
x/2 + y/3 = -1/3
x/2 + 2y = -7
(the slashes mean fractions, so it would be x over 2 and y over 3)

Please help and thanks in advance(:
I know that that I have to subtract the x/2 by changing the sighs but what do I do after? I need to find x and y…
