I’ve tried to get my “FREE” credit score but I keep getting asked to pay for it. How do I get my credit score?

wants to know:
I went to annualcredteport but I can’t get my actual score. It tells me to go to another site for my score but wants $12.95 for it. Aren’t we entitled to our score as well as our history? Experian was the only one I could get info from immediately. I was able to print out my history from their site. Equifax and Transunion will mall it but I still can’t get my score. Any ideas??

You can get your credit report for free…but not your credit SCORE for free. You will always have to pay for that.
No, you are not entitled to free access to your credit score under Federal law. I believe that a couple of states give you that right (VT is one if memory serves) but otherwise you will have to pay for it if you are not a resident of one of those states.
Your bank can give you your credit score.
You will have to pay for your score. Remember FICO is the only score that counts. You can get your true FICO score from TransUnion and Equifax at myFICO.com. That’s where I get mine. Also, if you google MyFico coupon codes you will find codes to get a % off. I gor 25% off my purchase yesterday! Hope this helps!!
