I am looking at Mazda and Hyundai.

its borderline. if so, you certainly wouldn’t get the best rate, you might be approved at a materially higher rate.
Rethink leasing. (Fleecing). Its a very bad idea for 98+% of people.

I don’t think so. If you do “qualify” for a lease, you will probably have to come up with a higher down payment, higher interest rate, or higher payment.
For now, you should buy. It’s more to your advantage to buy.
