I did this last week. My new credit card is showing the balances of the others, but the old credit cards are not showing that they’ve been paid.

I have pulled a credit report and disputed everthing, and its all still on there. Most of the things are to expensive to pay off (would take YEARS). However, some things I could pay off quicker. How does the bad stuff go away without paying on it?
Can it go away this way?
I should also mention that the biggest thing is an eviction. the total amount is aobut $10k. This means that I cant get another apartment because I owe that money, and it would take so long to pay it off. I dont know what to do about that.

Lets say I have 4 credit cards totalling $3000. I then wrote out 4 checks and paid off each card in full on the same day. How long would I have to wait until my credit report reflected all of these charges paid off?

I am going out of the United States this upcoming summer for 3 months and would like to have a credit card on me that I will be able to use in Europe without being hit with transaction fees. Does anyone know of a credit card company that issues cards without charging an exponential amount of interest or transaction fees?

I don’t understand why if you give a bank money up front, and that’s your limit on the card, why they have to pull a credit report? Is there any way around? The reason I don’t want a report pulled is I’m trying to raise the score, but it’s already been affected negatively by too many inquiries.

I’m a student about to graduate from NYU – I’ve applied for credit cards with or without my parents as co-signers and still no luck. I have a job and am trying to get an apartment but no one will take me unless I have good credit. What credit cards (preferably no fee) will accept me? My parents are available as co-signers with fair credit.

I just read about the Fair Credit Reporting Act and how delinquencies that are older than 7 years should not be on my report. But there are several that are 8, 9, 10 years old that are still on my report. How can I get these items removed? I was shocked to find them on there because I didn’t think they were on there anymore or still affecting my credit score, but they are.

I am renting a room to someone, and I want to run a credit report. How can I do this? And would it show any convictions? What does it show besides credit history? Does it also show previous addresses?

I recently bought a magnetic card case to carry my credit cards and it seems that the magnet is destroying my credit cards. I had a case exactly like this (same brand, same type) before and the magnets never did this before. Is there anything I can do?

I already wrote the company that makes the card case and they were no help at all.

I am working on my credit and would like to see a credit report of someone with good credit wether fictional or real, I don’t care. Where could I obtain a sample of one for learning purposes to compare against mine which I have been working on improving for the last two years?
