I’ve got one collection item on my report, in the amount of 186 bucks. Up till now, I’ve simply ignored it, as I have qualms with its legitimacy. But I’m wondering now if, by paying this item, I would enjoy a substantial increase in my credit score. My Equifax score is a 661 right now. What sort of increase would I realize from the deletion of this one little item?

I recently ordered a credit report from experian and received an automatically email, when I reply the email address was: support-buhavgyau2a4vmbckzzqzb2c0cvxs3@exprpt.com it looks so weird email that I google it but found nothing, does anyone have an idea if it is a legitimate email?

It’s been this way for a few years. The only difference i see from glancing at the accounts is that the Equifax has more inquires in the last 2 years (5) than the other two (they have 3 and 2). Would that knock it down by 30 points? Or does Equifax just score lower?

The scores range from 770 to 803 so I’m not worried about being denied credit — I am just curious.

Thanks in advance.

Experian has a website that allows you to print a document which is to be filled out with the requested info, and mailed to a specific adress. In doing so, I have managed to have the security freeze removed from Experian. The problem is that Experian has not notified TransUnion, or Equifax about the security freeze being removed from my credit file, so I am still stuck, and of course, there is absolutly no one I can call or speak with to help my situation. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

I just checked the status of my Equifax credit dispute and the status says Mailed as of the 11th, but I never received an email notification or link to my results as others have mentioned. Are they just sending me information in the mail or do I need to contact them?
Also, would it show up on my free credit report now that I am viewing if they made any changes?

I left the apartment building without getting evicted on my own will, It didn’t show up on my experian public record, but on some safe rent agency screening form. How do I remove this as I searched the court records and stated the case was dismissed?

Equifax 444

I have applied for a credit card with bank of america several times and i have been denied i checked my credit history and im seeing wrong information which led to the denial of my credit card applications. Can i sue for damages? and experian does not even have a fax or telephone number where i can call to dispute the information on my credit report. They listed my birthday as 1985 instead of 1988 which caused collection agency debts that i owed when i was 17 to be posted on my account because they listed my birthday 1985 it showed that i was 20 when the debts came in but i was actually 17.

1. Do you have a fax or phone number where i can reach experian? (I get an error messege with the online dispute form)
2. Can i sue for damages since they caused me to be denied for a credit card over 2 times

My old bank that has been bought out by another bank had reported to Equifax that I owed $$. I disputed it with the old bank but it’s still on my report. The new bank says they cannot help me.All I get is the run-around from everyone I’ve spoken to. If anyone knows how to resolve this PLEASE answer back.

I have a combination of Open, Closed, Revolving, consolidated and unconsolidated student loans, and a couple credit cards I have never used. I have averaged these in many different ways but have not yet arrived at the “Average Account Age” that is reported in the Equifax credit report. For those who haven’t purchased their report, an “average account age” is given, and the longer it is, the better for one’s credit score. Hopefully someone who has a simpler credit history can shed some light on how it is calculated. Thanks!

Im in the process of getting a mortgage and all of a sudden this(collections) pops up on my Equifax credit file. I know it will hurt my score already. I need to know the best way to go about getting it removed. I heard even if you pay it off it will remain as a negative. Any good advice?

I’ve heard different things..make it simple for me, please. Okay, say I dispute a neg. credit on my report&Equifax investigates.IF the company that filed a negative report doesn’t get back within a certain time limit confirming, is it erased? Eradicated? Or after a certain amount of months, I could dispute again&see if they make the deadline? Please clarify for me, if u can.
