At least IM honest wants to know:

I subscribe to two different credit monitoring services.

1) first premier credit expert which uses the “plus” score scoring model.

2) 3 in 1 credit monitoring through true credit.com which I believe uses the “vantage” scoring model.

Between the two there is a difference of 60 points as far as experian is concerned. The vantage is the higher of the two.

Are the scores different because different models are used?

Which one is right?

This is an extra credit question for a math quiz and every time I try to do it I always get a different answer….
I’m doing systems of equations and right now we’re working on how to solve problems using elimination. I get how to do it but I just don’t get how to do it when the x and y are in fractions….
Here are the two equations:
x/2 + y/3 = -1/3
x/2 + 2y = -7
(the slashes mean fractions, so it would be x over 2 and y over 3)

Please help and thanks in advance(:
I know that that I have to subtract the x/2 by changing the sighs but what do I do after? I need to find x and y…

Has anyone ever tried debt elimination? A company has contacted me about completely erasing my entire credit card debt within 1 year, then repairing the credit. Their website has testimonials of many people in all states. It is supposed to be a legal process and there is a lot of information to back that up. Has anyone ever done this before?

I’m looking for some credit cards, but my credit score is fairly good with experian and equifax, and transunion is not the best. Can you tell me what companies I could apply with? I have a 700 credit score on Exp, and Equ, but transunion is low 600′s. I don’t want a lot of inquiries on my credit file, so I felt to ask before I applied for the credit cards.

This is my inverted version of Sarah Blaffer Hrdy’s definition of a patriarchy:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvHpxoynsxzLbZFrjyBrq_EYxgt.;_ylv=3?qid=20070915224419AAONXa6

Matriarchies “force men to deliver resources to women without reciprocal credit” other features of matriarchal societies are the elimination of male paternal rights for the express purpose of female promiscuity and families of mixed paternity but undisputed maternity, communal providership of all men but guaranteed lifelong paternal rights to none, aggrandizement of female power, forced providership of all males and competition between males for female attention encouraged over cooperation between males, and the generation of myths that men are abusive, expendable, inferior.

Do you think this is a good description of a matriarchy? Also how much do you think our current society fits this description?
How much do you think this description relates to the following things:
- Rise of female headed families who receive child support from the children’s father or the government.
- The fact that 69% of media coverage of men has shown to be negative, ie. portraying men as abusive or incompetent.
Pete S: That fits exactly with my description. The families are headed by women, descent is reckoned in the female line as paternity is uncertain and various, while maternity is guaranteed and the mother has all the rights over the children. It is exactly the same.

I have an error on my credit report, it shows an agency that has an account that is still open and in delinquent status, however the balance was settled in 2004. I sent an investigation inquiry through the experian website but still have not heard from them, this was over 11 months ago. Is there any getting through to these credit bureaus?

I disputed the items on my equifax and they were taken off. but they weren’t taken off the other two reports. The only way to dispute with those is to write a letter to them…Am I gonna have to write a million letters to get anything done? I’m just wanting to know the steps I should take to ensure an expediant outcome.

My question is will I be able to get a mortgage with good rates with the scores I have now?

I am 23 and my credit scores are: 582 Trans Union, 552 Experian, and 545 Equifax.

I have a number of medical bills that went to collection while I was in colllege. I have been paying those medical bills back a little at a time (I have a payment plan with the collection agency). And have two 30 days late (almost a year ago) on my car loan, and a 60 days late on a student loan.
I recently applied for a new secured credit card (which I hope to receive any day) and have been listed as an authorized user on my cousin’s credit card. My cousin has had her credit card for 2 yeas and has never been late.

I am currently working with a law firm that has actually gotten 6 items deleted from the three reports. So, my scores are a little better than they were.

I just feel that it is not right to be punished for getting sick (I had cancer) and not having insurance.
My current scores are 559 TransUnion, 618 Experian, and 557 Equifax.

The reason the Experian score is so much higher is that a new revolving account (my cousin’s credit card) has reflected on that report. I am expecting the credit card to reflect on the other reports soon.

If the other scores jump anything like the Experian score, I expect the others to be around 610.

I have a about $8,500.00 credit card debt. I can’t afford to pay the minimums anymore and was thinking about contacting a debt relief company that will negotiate with credit card companies for me, during the negotiations I don’t pay the credit cards should I pursue this option or should I just go with partial payments and keep on accumulating fees without reducing my debt? Please help me make this decision.

I just turned 18 today, but a couple of days ago I asked for a credit report from Experian, Well it says that my credit started before I turned 18 and the dates look like I was about 15 or 16. It says I have a potentially negative item. I don’t remember this, but doesn’t your credit start counting at the age of 18? Isn’t it a law or something because you have to be 18 everywhere to buy anything.

There’re so many sites out there that will provide you with all three major credit bureau reports (Experian, TransUnion & Equifax) and many do provide a free trial but, once the free trial is done that’s when they start their hefty monthly fees on your acct. I’m looking for the cheapest out there which will provide me with all three acurate reports and still be the most affordable. Has anyone done some research on this and provide me with the cheapest site? Thank you!
