barbie wants to know:

I can contact any of the three credit organizations, Experian, etc but they all want my social security card number. Why do they want that if getting the credit score is supposedly FREE?

I was checking my bank account statement online and there were charges that I never made. Should I open another bank account? I already filed a complaint with Experian. I’m worried.

My daughter is turning 17 in May and she has been interested in building a good credit file. She already has a checking account with my wife’s cosign and a debit card. How can I help her establish a credit report and how can we check her credit report? I have tried it online at experian and transunion and equifax, but it says you have to be 18 or older to do it. it is recommended to check your child’s credit report to verify there isn’t any identity problems. but how can I do that if you have to be 18 or older to check it out? please help me, she is very responsible and is a total adult. she actually tries to help me with my finances! how can i help her with her credit? she has tried to apply for build-credit credit cards, but again you have to be 18 or older. HELP!

My credit reports looks good for one agency.
I have a loan in really good standing that is being reported by Equifax on my credit report but when I look at the other, it has no history of the loan. Should this loan be reported to all three of the agencies?? Or is it up to them?

I hope someone from Yahoo is actually monitoring this. If stuff like this continues, I personally will stop using Yahoo mail.

The credit report shows that I filed the dispute both through Experian and Equifax (I don’t know why as it was only Experian) but I am trying close on a home loan and this dispute is now considered an “underwriting exception.”

I need to get this removed as soon as humanly possible.

ANY help is welcome.

wants to know:

One of my credit cards only reports to TransUnion, and my student loan lender only reports to Equifax and Experian. Can I request each of them to report to all 3 bureaus or do they only follow their company’s policy?

Specifically, can I require them to do so?

I got my first credit card in June of 2006. My payments have never been late. Every 30 days the credit card company reports account status to all 3 major credit reporting agencies. Transunion and Experian both are showing my account correctly, but Equifax is not showing it at all! I had to pay Equifax $20 for my credit report just to try to dispute it and now I get a bunch of crap for the customer service center. I know my credit card company is reporting my info. In fact just yesterday they did another report to Equifax and Equifax is still saying they have no record of the account. I’m really upset over this mess and I want an investigation by FTC and possibly the Attorney General for the state for the Equifax corporate office. What would you do? What is the best way to get immediate action?

My credit scores range from 648 with Equifax to 676 at Experian. TransUnion in the middle. Can anyone explain the difference and which agency is the most accurate or trusted?

I did the 3-in-1 score report thing recently and sometimes, I’d check my bank account and it would say that Equifax and Experian withdrew $1.00. Why is that? Do they deposit it back after?
