My credit report does not just have credit cards on there, they also have bills, delinquent bills misc, so it’s not just a credit card company I can write a letter too. Is there anyone who has actually used a company and has experience with this? I know this will take time, I’m not looking for a 6 month miracle.

Invoice from collections agency states account is settled in full as of 2/10/05 and that they would notify my credit card company to update their records and my credit report. This term change is after several years, and it was a reputable credit card company.

If I don’t agree to the new (worse) terms, they will cancel my card, and I’ll have to pay the remaining balance. Would this hurt my credit rating if I don’t accept the new terms, let them cancel my card and just pay off what I owe over the year?
